The Little Things

Everyone lives on this beautiful planet but not everyone treats it like they should. As Trump becomes President, he has no intentions of preserving America’s land. With our population increasing daily and all the fossil fuel based technology used, a serious toll has been taken on natural habitats. It is up to us to do what we can to keep nature vibrant, beautiful, and healthy. Gil Cadiz shares some ways people can help in his online article, “10 Small Ways to Conserve and Protect our Environment”. He provides 10 easy and cheap that everyone is able to do, and our planet needs as much help as it can get. Everyone needs to start doing a little more so we can try and reverse the effects of degradation.  In the article, Cadiz includes a video on “10 Small Ways to Conserve an Protect Our Water Resources,” that you should check out while looking through his article. Showers, dishes, and brushing teeth are all ways water is wasted daily. His first tip he includes that cutting your shower by 60 seconds a day it can save up to 560 liters of water. The water we use adds up and with the growing population and demand and pollution we need to reserve as much water as we can. The most basic things we can do to help protect our planet is that limiting our time when using our resources. Walk and ride bikes more, drive less. Shortening the time water is on. Making sure the land stays clean and picking up harm materials. There are so many more ways to help preserve our earth and if you want a clean future, changing as many bad habits will be the best way start.
